A reflective sling bag does two jobs an ordinary bag cannot: it makes a driver see you, and it carries your essentials without a hot, bulky pack on your back. Riderbag makes the same sling in two colourways, built on the identical 14" x 7" x 3", 11.2 oz frame in water-resistant 600D recyclable nylon. The only real decision is how visible you want to look in daylight.

Short version: choose Hi-Vis Green if being seen matters more than blending in. Choose Reflective Black if you want the bag to look normal until headlights find it.

Why a sling instead of a backpack

A backpack traps heat against your back and gets in the way when you need something out of it. A sling sits tight to the body, rotates round to your chest for hands-free access without taking it off, and carries the things you actually reach for — wallet, phone, keys, a bottle. Because it sits across the largest surface a driver behind you sees, making that surface reflective is the cheapest visibility upgrade available to you.

How the reflectivity actually works

The panels are retro-reflective, not light-emitting. They contain microscopic glass beads that return a light beam to its source instead of scattering it, so a driver's own headlights come back at the driver. No batteries, no charging, nothing to switch on. It also means the bag does not glow in a dark room with no light source — it needs a light to reflect. In daylight the panels read as grey.

What fits inside

Three zones — a main compartment, a front quick-access pouch, and a hidden internal zippered pocket for ID and cards. Comfortably holds a phone, wallet, keys, a 16–20 oz water bottle and a tablet up to iPad Mini size. External dimensions work out to roughly 5 litres.
